One worker was killed and two others were seriously injured when they were electrocuted on a construction site in Woodbridge Township on the morning of Friday, October 11th. The incident occurred shortly before 8:00 am.
The workers were on scaffolding on Quincy Court when one of the 40-foot poles supporting the scaffolding fell. Two of the workers attempted to catch the pole and were electrocuted when it hit a high tension wire in the area.
Two workers were sent to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital where one worker was declared dead and the other was admitted in critical condition. A third worker was transported by EMS to a hospital in Perth Amboy for serious burns.
